Sweet Dreams Frankie

As most of you know, we look after ferrets when people go away on their holidays, business trips etc. Some of these ferrets come here several times a year, and we get to know them extra well. The very regular ones learn that they are here for a holiday and will be going back home, and make the most of it here, which means we get to see the things that make them special to their owners along with the kisses and cuddles normally reserved only for their closest family.

The major downside to this is, having had the joy of their loving and fun, we also have the heartbreak of discovering that they have died, and the sadness that goes along with this.

This morning, we were informed that Frankie, a cute little Polecat Jill, who during her 7 year life has survived 2 Adrenal ops, had to be put to sleep last night. You may remember me posting about us looking after her just before Christmas, and how many drugs she was on, which resulted in a pretty major routine for her owner, and of course us when we looked after her. Even though she was being dragged out of her cosy bed several times a day, and had hardly any fur left on her body, she still managed to be the cutest sweetest loving ferret you could ever wish to look after.

Frankie had an Albino Sister called Pheobe, who while a little more indipendant, still likes to sneak up for a sleep inside your tee shirt when she thinks you are not looking, and really looked after her sister.

:angel1: :adore: Sweet Dreams Frankie, have fun at the bridge, You are another boarder who we are really going to miss having the joy of looking after :adore: :angel1:

:fuzzyhug: :kiss1: we also send huge Hugs and kisses to Pheobe, who really needs lots of loving thoughts to help her get over the loss of her sister, who she has never been separated from in the 7 years they have lived. :kiss1: :fuzzyhug:
I ferret proofed my house... but they still keep getting in

Weaseling out of things is important to learn! It's what separates us from the animals.....  Except the weasel....(Homer J Simpson)

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines

Oh, see, impossible wishes, wishes that can never be granted, they produce a ferret. - Warehouse 13
