We had to help our beautiful poley girl  Bonnie over the bridge this evening.

She has been showing her age for a while but pottering around quite happily. We had real problems keeping any weight on her and she had turned into a frail but happy old lady.

I did the weekly check over today and found that she had suddenly developed a large mass on her rectum. It must have been very fast growing as there was nothing there a few days ago when we last checked her over. We rushed her to the vets who confirmed that with her weight loss problems and the fast growth of the mass it was cancer. She was very frail and putting her through an operation or chemo would have been too much for her with little hope of recovery. We took the very hard decision to help her on her way.  It was a peaceful passing and she has been buried next to her old friends overlooking the valley where we used to live.  We are heartbroken, she was a beautiful, gentle little girl who loved everyone and will be sorely missed.

Dook on over the bridge Bonnie, find Tom, Jerry, Chubbs and your sister Baby  until it’s time for us to meet again.

I ferret proofed my house... but they still keep getting in

Weaseling out of things is important to learn! It's what separates us from the animals.....  Except the weasel....(Homer J Simpson)

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines

Oh, see, impossible wishes, wishes that can never be granted, they produce a ferret. - Warehouse 13
