Title: Lost 02/12/12 Sevenoaks Kent (Found)
Post by: lazy-ferret on December 03, 2012, 07:26:26 PM
We have lost one of our Albino Jill Kits in the Greatness Lane Area of Sevenoaks.

We are not sure how she got out, but after spending the whole day checking the entire house, we can only assume that she has managed to get out of the house sometime Sunday Afternoon.

She is fairly small, and still has the "kit fluff" coat, so is not really up to coping with the cold. She is sweet, but does get carried away when you hold her, and will try to bite (we are still working on that bit), but it is not nasty, draw blood bite, more annoying pinches.

If anyone finds her, please call us, as we are devastated..

Clive

Posted on Ferrethelp's Facebook and Ferretsforum - hope you find her. Could she be in garden/shed?

Devestated.
Cold
and Blue.
We also look like burglars with torches wandering around everywhere.

Come home girly.

We have checked literally turned the place upside down inside and outside. Would have expected to hear or find obvious things if she was still about.

Ferrethelp always recommend leaving a carrier out with really smelly bedding and smelly food. Sometimes can bring them back. Thoughts with you. Been there myself too often.

She is home... Not sure how... :war: :war:

I have been out all day, and to be honest it has been so hard to concentrate, as all I really wanted to do, was be out looking for her...

Anyway, as soon as I got home, I went out the back and called over the wall, to see if I could find her... Nothing...

Came in, and decided that the first job was to sort out why my phone stopped working today, before I went out and had another look. Long story short, some misfit, has hacked my phone account, switched it to a new sim and ordered stuff on the account as well, so now have no phone, as I need to speak the O2 fraud squad before the will lift the bar. I was so annoyed as it was my mobile we had given out to every one to contact ref the missing kit.

Anyway, while on the phone, one of the boarders was being a pain in the proverbial, and winding the boys up in their cage, rattling the bars and all screaming at each other, so I chucked the boarders out into the garden while I spoke to O2, and suddenly there was screaming in the garden... I went out to see wat was going on, and the little kit was in a tube defending it from the boarder.

She climbed straight up me, and apart from being very hungry, dirty and tired, she seems fine. I can only think one of the neighbours found her in their garden and popped her back over the fence, but will see if I can find out tomorrow.

So despite the problems with the phone, which is not such a problem now she is home... the day has ended well. :Yippee: :Yippee: :Yippee:

Oh so happy - I was thinking about her all today with how cold it is. Sorry about the phone and hope you get it sorted. But that is such wonderful news. Made my day as well :)

Just spoke to the neighbour, and it turned out she was in the house conversion they are doing, terrorising the builders they have in at the moment.

He tried to get us, but we were out, so he decided that as the garden normally has ferrets running around in it, in must be pretty safe, and lowered her over the fence... Result...

That's good - at least she had shelter while she was out. I'd reassure your neighbour she doesn't chew wire - when Misty moonlighted to watch next door's builders, that was their worry. Apart from feeding her and watering her and setting a live capture trap which she let herself out of - she was coming back to us betwen visits so took us a while to catch on.

She wasn't staying there, just went there yesterday afternoon, I think she got wind of the snow we had this morning, and decided that a nice warm bed and safety was preferable to living rough and cold. Fist time I have ever seen her pleased to see us rather than the food bowl..

Our neighbours already know they do not chew wires, so that is not a problem.
