Chaos came into the wildlife centre in Feb 2010 having been found in a Highway Agencies Lockup that hadnt been opened for 7 days! He was extremely dehydrated and emaciated. After 4 days of intensive care at Oak and Furrows he was well enough for us to take home and continue his care there.
His canines had to be removed as his teeth were extremely rotten when he came to us. He also had a bad abscess in his lower jaw which had to be treated. Once all were gone he became a far happier fella.
Sadly we had to help Chaos over the bridge tonight, came on out of the blue, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Ultrasound showed his heart had enlarged so much that it was pumping like mad so much so that the blood wasnt flowing as it should be. We only spotted the signs tonight when he was hyperventilating and his gums and tongue were anaemic. Neil at GWE kindly put him to sleep as the condition was so severe abd causing him too much distress and any attempts at meds with how bad his heart was would only delay the inevitable by a few weeks if that
Chaos was a really special fella, he never really took to people preferring to keep his distance but tolerated us and clearly enjoyed living with the group upstairs, especially Lupin, Hubbub, Weezil and his buddy Ruckus. We are all going to miss him.
When he first came to us shortly after his teeth were removed
As he will always be remembered by us
