I'm going! My first fuzzy event! I'm going to take my 4 to see chris and Roy as we rehomed them all from there .

Is it at their place or somewhere else?
-
At their place. :ovation:

Can I ask some questions, bit worried if I can cope healthwise. I know how it works if the show is indoors as I've seen pics, but I don't know what happens outside.
Whereabouts at Harrietsham does the show take place, is it in the field behind?
How far away is parking from where it all happens?
Where do we put the travel cage, do we need to bring a table or something to put it on? I shall bring my own chair, LOL.
What happens for the judging, are the ferrets taken off somewhere?
Very important question, are there toilets?

Yes, they have a few Large Gazebos to sit in and shelter the ferrets from the sun (ha ha)

Normally you park in the same field.

They have tables, but Chairs tend to be a bit tight, so will be worth bringing a chair if you have one.
What happens for the judging, are the ferrets taken off somewhere?
Yes, they have a Gazebo behind where everyone else is, that has the judges in, and a few runners who collect and return the fuzzy's
Very important question, are there toilets?
They have an outside loo in a shed like building just off the side of the field.

Thanks Clive.
Now, I Just need everyone to wear name badges, with both their real & user names from the different forums
Tina, you will need to put your real name ABOVE your user name, not the other way round, could be asking for trouble :wink3:
-

I did think of wearing one each side but it may look as if I named my boobs
-
Ooh, I say   Could cause even more problems having 'Fiddle' written on your boob
-

I had not thought of that!
-
In Suz's case, I thought one was "tuning" and the other "volume"... but both get me slapped if I "Fiddle" with them in the wrong place.. :R :wink3:

  im sure Suz is feeling so proud right now
Jan, my OH(Andy) said to tell you I will be easily recognisable by the sexy legged man standing next to me
-

And if you don't recognise the legs since there will be so many there, check out the tummy...
-
He will be sad he wont be able to tell one of his storys
Thank goodness, Ive heard them all
-

Ah, yes, Andy is missing belly button man isn't he?
LOL, did Clive get a slap for that remark I wonder?
-
can somebody remind me of the directions?
Will be travelling east along M20 so need to know the junction number and the directions from there?
Thank you and look forward to seeing you all there! :Yippee:
-
I will send you a PM with them in, I am not sure Roy and Christine publish directions normally, so better safe than sorry.
-
Thank you clive! That was my first message! Im sooooooo damned popular

  Don't take it personally, PM's are disabled on this board, everyone can receive them, but only Mods can post them. Basically, on this forum, I would rather keep it as if it is worth saying, it can be said in public, and if it is not for public consumption, then don't say it a all. That way, it hopefully keeps it more friendly. :angel1: :fuzzyhug:
-
aww flippin eck, Mungus, my pretty much only non defective monster has chipped his tooth! just the tip thank goodness and he is unaffected but my poor boy is now a proper family misfit
Thank gawd im not a rossette chaser, I would be stuffed
-
by the way, anyone else thinking what if they :bite:
I trust mine but, its a ferret and the little beggers love to be unpredicatable
-
Ah it's just part of them being a ferret :wink3:
I can't be doing with shows, as the lack of rosettes ours will no doubt not win will protest to. :R
I have started them on training, I'm considering sending the girlies and myself off on the intensive course tv programme "ladette to lady" :dance1:
-
There is a difference between Biting and Nipping. They ask you not to enter Biters (for the judges health), but like you say, even the best behaved sometimes decides to put in a warning shot. The Judges are Ferret people, so know how to handle them. To be honest, we only have one who bites, but that is only other people. She knows she should not, but can't resist proving a point when she meets new people, so we wouldn't enter her for both her sake and the judges/runners.

Hmmm, that will give them something hard to work on, they could turn it into a long running reality series... Still the ferrets would be easy   :wink3:

If you do let me know as I could definatly do with a course to although my girlies would need a "snob to rags" programme, they really do have a stuck up complex thing going on
My boys are going to be fine but think I will just have to see what mood the girls are in on the day
-
Can you think of anything I might need to bring with us? Do you have a check list for going to shows etc. We've never been to a show with them before.
Hmm,........... bag for poo from litter tray, food, treats, Tone, harnesses for walkies, mustn't forget the cage, LOL. I think it will have to go in the boot, the car doesn't have rear doors, so I doubt it will fit in.
-
Food, water, secure day cage, bedding, a rubbish bag and something to clean with, a litter tray and litter, or newspaper. baby wipes for last minute ear cleans or in case one rolls in pooh just before their class.
Oh and lots of change especially if each class is paid for individually. And if the show is alongside a country fair lots of dosh to pay for all the lovely stuff you will see for sale.
-
I think we are coming, coming to visit my brother and his new little one but it would be great to meet some of the Kentish bunch, being as I am actually from Kent and not Bristol!
Could someone send me directions/an address too?
Thank you!
-
i am hoping to be there everything crossed i am ( caroline ) the one who always wins all the rossettes
ain't that right clive :highfive:

I have emailed you the Address Fran.
-
Thanks Mary, that should be everything we need I should think.
Ahh, will there be a someone selling food and drinks? Can't go all day without a cuppa. I'll have to bring my own food as I can't eat gluten.
Hope to see you there Fran
Caroline, we have stiff competition, Fran's fuzzies win loads of rossettes. :wink3:
Oooh, errr, what's your secret weapon Clive. Bugger, if you told me it wouldn't be a secret would it?
I'll just be flippin over the moon if ours don't bit....ahem, I mean, nibble anyone. I don't know how they will cope, they have never been caged all day or been anywhere with so many people and other ferts. Maybe I should put 'L' plates on the cage. I shall make sure the handlers and judges know it's their first time, and obviously will see how they are behaving before their class before making a final decision.
-
There is Tea and Coffee along with a BBQ, but that is no good to you...
-
Jan it will be fab to meet you at last!
I'm definately looking foward to my first show east of Bath!!

-
I'm going to apologise now but I have convinced my mother in law to come to the show with us on Saturday!! Sorry :angel1:
-
well think all of mine will be coming along for the day out part but none are a threat to rosettes as all frayed around the edges somewhat.
I have a bet with myself that Andy at some point during the day will be dancing around calling my lot losers (its his thing, especially after he has won a few prizes himself this year  )
Getting quite excited now, i just love the get togethers :D
-
The ones who are frayed around the edges are the best of the bunch!!! :adore:

-

Very cute, although I was not sure on its markings. Don't think it would have won any classes other than the judges favourite
